THE LENA System

A laptop displays a dashboard with charts and graphs showing daily and hourly statistics for words and achievements in a program called LENA Grow. The screen highlights a "2 stars earned" badge for progress.

Powering interactions in early childhood. Changing lives.

The LENA technology system is the world’s only hardware and software suite that measures interactions. It delivers actionable insights to help early childhood educators, researchers, clinicians, parents, and caregivers focus on what matters most in early childhood: conversational turns that lead to better outcomes.

It’s Simple.

It starts with the device that has everyone talking. With the push of a button, LENA’s wearable device counts interactions between a teacher and a child.

Just place it in a child’s LENA vest for your LENA Day and go about your regular routine. The device counts up the adult-child interactions.

Private & secure

Each child’s name is displayed when the teacher needs it, then automatically hides.

Lightweight

No distraction or discomfort.

A white and purple charging station holds multiple labeled devices with names such as Addison, Kamden, Hudson, and Eliana. The front of the charging dock is labeled "LENA.

It’s Smart.

Designed with teachers, for teachers, to make our LENA Grow program easy to manage. At the end of each LENA Day, just place the Device in the dock. The dock sends the data to LENA Online.

Your automated report will show you how many conversational turns each child experienced, plus all the other data you need for understanding your language environment and how to increase interactions.
