About 100 federal, national, state, and local leaders – including LENA president and CEO, Steve Hannon — shared ideas for innovation in early childhood at a recent event hosted by the federal Office of Early Childhood Development. The first-ever Showcase on Early Childhood Development and Learning at the ED Games Expo featured speakers who discussed big ideas about a broad range of topics. In five minutes, they explained the problem they’re trying to solve, a proposed solution, and insights on lessons learned. Dr. Steve Hannon explained how LENA programs for parent and teachers can equip adults with skills to boost children’s early brain development.
