Talking To Your Baby Might Make Them Smarter, New Study Finds, Especially When They Can Respond

A team of researchers led by Jill Gilkerson, director of child language research at the LENA Foundation, looked at the effect talking to your baby might have on their later success. The study found that conversation between 18 to 24 months of age was related to children’s verbal and cognitive abilities 10 years later.
