Children’s frequency of conversation with adults predicts language skills and IQ a decade later, according to a new study from LENA researchers. The LENA study is one of several published this year illuminating the relationship between conversational turns and child development. The implications for parents are clear: Don’t just talk to your child, but talk with your child, no matter the child’s age.
