Family child care (FCC) providers are essential to the early care landscape—especially in “child care deserts” where center-based care is limited. Yet many FCC providers experience barriers to licensing, professional development, and participation in quality improvement systems.

Through job-embedded professional development and county-by-county implementation, the initiative is designed to elevate caregiver-child engagement and improve access to high-quality care.
